What we do

Three functions, one contract.

Origination

Direct relationships with producers and elevators across Kazakhstan's northern grain belts, with cargo bought and loaded at origin rather than resold from another trader's position.

Trade finance

Structured back-to-back contracts with settlement by prepayment, cash against documents or documentary terms.

Logistics

Rail and deep-sea execution under a single contract, from FCA at the elevator through to CIF at the discharge port.

Execution

From the elevator to the vessel

Cargo is contracted at the elevator, graded, loaded into hopper wagons and railed to the border or to a Baltic transshipment berth. The same desk that buys the grain books the wagons and fixes the vessel.

Because origination and freight sit in one house, buyers deal with one counterparty and one document set, from FCA at the elevator through to CIF at the discharge port.

From the Kazakh steppe to three continents.

We originate grain and oilseeds at elevators across northern Kazakhstan and move them out by rail — east and west — and by sea from the Baltic. Wherever there is a mill, a crusher or a tender, we can deliver to it.

Corridors

  1. Origin

    Northern Kazakhstan elevators

    Direct relationships with producers across the main grain belts, with grain drawn from elevators in the northern regions and railed to Kostanay and Astana for loading.

  2. Rail east

    Rail east to China

    East across the 1520 mm network and over the border at Dostyk or Altynkol, delivered on DAP terms. Barley and flax seed move on this corridor.

  3. Rail west

    Rail west to the European Union

    West by rail on the 1520 mm network to the EU border points, where cargo is transshipped and continues to European crushers and mills. Rapeseed and flax seed move on this corridor.

  4. Baltic sea route

    Sea from the Baltic

    Railed to deep-water Baltic ports and loaded onto vessels of 5,000 to 55,000 dwt for the Mediterranean and North Africa. Durum wheat to Italy and Tunisia; milling wheat on Baltic FOB terms.
